Q: Do I need a static IP for my website?
You will only need a static IP if you need to install SSL (secured server), or certain shopping cart engines which require a static IP. If you are unsure whether the software you need to install requires a static IP, please contact info@hostignition.com. Otherwise, if none of the above applies, you do not need a static IP in order to have your website running.
Also there will not be any differences in your website's speed or performance for having a static IP. Sites hosted on a shared IP share the same connectivity as those hosted on static IPs.
